Helping German-speaking businesses and organisations communicate their sustainability efforts to an international audience.
How can I help?
- Translation of sustainability management documents (reports, strategies, PR, etc.) from German to English (my native language)
- Interpreting German ↔ English at conferences, meetings, workshops and other events about sustainability. Either simultaneously (real-time interpreting using special equipment) or consecutively (after the original speaker).
Based on
- a solid knowledge of sustainability reporting (CSRD, ESRS, VSME, etc.) and sustainability management, gained on training courses on the subject,
- around 30 years of experience working as a freelance translator and interpreter for a wide range of businesses, organisations, governmental agencies and higher education institutions and
- a commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The benefits for you
You’ll be working with an expert in German/English communication who
saves time for your business and sticks to delivery deadlines,
grasps the aim of your document/event and thinks about what she’s translating/interpreting,
researches the topic and terminology in detail and
enjoys coming up with creative ideas and helping fellow humans communicate with one another - using tools when it makes sense to do so.
What do I love so much about being a translator/interpreter?
The fact that you're constantly learning and exploring new fields, and the challenge of finding creative solutions through which to convey ideas in a different language and culture.
Here are just a few examples of the areas I've worked in during my almost 30 years of experience as a translator/interpreter:
- international development (reports, documentation, surveys, web articles, conferences, etc.)
- PR (press releases, brochures, speeches, web content, etc.)
- Tourism (magazine articles)
- Health
- Energy (specialist documents/meetings)
